Music of the mid 1800s contributed greatly to later forms of American music. Join us in the ballroom at Rose Hill mansion as we examine the tunes that served as a background to the Civil War. Accomplished performer Dr. Brennan Szafron, organist and choirmaster of the Episcopal Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, will take us on a melodic journey to examine how music kept spirits high during dark times. The performance includes an intermission with light refreshments available. Limited seating. Reservations required. $7/person (age 16+); $5/student (age 6-15). Located in Union, SC.
