On The Verge, also known as Geography of Yearning, a comedy by Eric Overmyer and directed by the talented Tommy George, is the story of three Victorian lady-explorers who travel through a land “somewhere east of Australia and west of Peru” and into the 'future' of the 1950's, leaving us delighted and laughing at the witty wordplay and pop-culture confusion and discoveries of these adventurous women. On The Verge has enjoyed success and critical acclaim in theatres across the country before arriving in Downtown Charleston.
