Lunch and Learn: "Our History, Our Health Care"
to
USC-Lancaster Native American Studies Center 119 South Main Street, Lancaster, South Carolina 29720
“What is past is prologue,” wrote Shakespeare. In other words, in order to fully understand, appreciate and improve our current circumstances, we must look to our history, particularly as it relates to public health in our state and across our region. With a history defined by the legacy of rice and cotton farming with slave labor and the legacy of the textile industry, our region has much to consider.
Join to listen as USC Aiken Professor Emeritus of History Jim Farmer explores these histories and shares examples of present day impact. This session will be an interactive opportunity for shared learning. Questions are welcome and encouraged.
