Indie Authors Day
to
Aiken County Library 314 Chesterfield St. SW, Aiken, South Carolina 29801
As part of a national movement, the Aiken Public Library will hold its third annual Indie Authors Day on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. This event, designed to explore and celebrate independent writers, is free to all participants.
Throughout the day, more than 20 local independent authors will be scattered over the first floor of the library, ready and eager to speak to book lovers.
During the lunch hour, those who love to scribble a few words will enjoy practicing their craft with Ken Doyle's Writing Sprints.
Also, small publishers will be in the foyer discussing the range of services that are offered in this new era of publishing. Programs about everything from poetry to fiction to marketing techniques will be held in the meeting room all day long, with plenty of breaks to peruse what local writers have to offer. Hopefully, you can pick up a door prize!
