The Cross Keys Plantation House 163 Old Buncombe Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29379
The Union County Historical Society marks the return of our longest running event to date, “The Flight of Jefferson Davis Living History and Reenactment Program!"
The event will be held April 28-30 at 163 Old Buncombe Road (the Cross Keys Plantation House) in Union County.
General admission is $5 per person; children 10 and younger get in free. We will also have a special evening grounds tour at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, so be sure to reserve your spot! Tickets for the Saturday night tour are $10 for groups (max. 5 people) or $5 per person.
Experienced reenactors will regale you with tales inspired by 19th century narratives that illustrate the various motivations and consequences of the American Civil War and what led CSA President Jefferson Davis through Union County while fleeing Federal troops. Program highlights include guest speakers, 19th century craft demonstrations and the crowd-favorite “skirmish” where Union and CSA troops clash for a show you won't soon forget! Gift booths and food vendors will also be available throughout the weekend.
