Horry County Museum 805 Main Street , Conway, South Carolina 29526
We’re celebrating textiles throughout March at the Horry County Museum! Join us Tuesday, March 15 at 11 a.m. as local quilter Carolyn Brackat shares quilts from her personal collection. Carolyn is a mixed media quilt maker that creates art quilts and bed quilts. Her creations have a pivotal message with an African vibe. Storytelling is an integral part of her artistic process and her pieces are indicative of her strong cultural identification. Many of the patterns, symbols, and color combinations are inspired by her exploration of West Africa through travel.
The program will be held at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (843) 915-5320 or email hcgmuseum@horrycounty.org. To view a full list of programs, visit our website.
