Documentary Film Series continues with D-Day Remembered

The 2022 Horry County Museum Documentary Film Series continues with D-Day Remembered. This locally produced documentary profiles the events of "Operation Overlord," the Allied invasion of German-occupied France, which began on "D-Day" June 6, 1944. The joint military operation involved more than 150,000 Allied troops, almost 5,000 ships and landing craft, 13,000 aircraft, 3,500 airborne gliders and more than two million tons of equipment.
The film is free to the public and will be shown at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 8, at the Horry County Museum, located at 805 Main Street in Conway.
