Join us at the Museum of York County for sessions on the anatomy of birds, ID content and hands-on activities with the bird specimens in the Naturalist Center. Instructor Taylor Piephoff has been birding the Southern Piedmont for over 40 years. In the past he has served as a board member of Mecklenburg Audubon, executive committee member of the Carolina Bird Club, past President of the Carolina Bird Club and past member of the SC Bird Records Committee. Most recently, he contributed a Piedmont Birding column to the Charlotte Observer for over 12 years. A field trip at the completion of the course during daylight hours will be offered by the instructor for those interested. Winthrop University may award one Cultural Credit per student per seminar attended. York County educators may earn 2 CEU credits per seminar.
