10th Annual Tartan Day South Highland Athletics and Celtic Festival

Tartan Day South Highland Games and Celtic Festival is a full day of sports, music and exhibitions to entertain every member of the family. You will see Highland athletics, pipe bands, Celtic music, clan/society tents, a Celtic marketplace, Sheep Dog herding demonstrations, birds of prey, sword fighting exhibitions, traditional dancing, a Classic British Car Show, military timeline and much more. The main event is held annually at the Historic Columbia Speedway in Cayce. Gate opens at 9 a.m.
Tartan Day South is a family favorite festival celebrating Celtic heritage with four events in four cities in four days, hosted in the Midlands of South Carolina. Tartan Day South festivities start Thursday night with the Celtic Kickoff Party at the British Bulldog Pub in Columbia, followed by a great Celtic Concert on Friday night at the Icehouse Amphitheater in Lexington. The main event festival on Saturday at the Historic Columbia Speedway in Cayce and the Kirkin’ of the Tartans on Sunday at the West Columbia Riverwalk Park and Amphitheater close out the four-day event.
