The 9th annual MBIFF will take place April 23rd to the 26th at Carmike Cinema 17 Broadway at the Beach. Films and film makers from around the world will showcase their work, many as a world premier. The MBIFF has received some prestigious awards in the national as well as international movie scene including : Top 25 film festivals to submit to in the world, by Movie Maker Magazine, and one of the best in the world by Film International. Being hailed as a ground breaking film festival. We continue to be a venue for up and coming film makers as well as seasoned professionals. Many of the filmmakers will be in attendance with their films, and will be available for Q&A sessions.
The MBIFF will have a 30 minute program on Time Warner Cable on demand throughout South Carolina, where you will be able to access what's screening and when. The website http://myrtlebeachfilmfestival.com will also have screening times and events posted.
Wednesday April 23rd we will open with a screening at 5:30 then another at 8:00pm. At 10:30 VacationMyrtlebeach.com and MBIFF will host the opening party at Level 6 in the Captains Quarters which will include free Bowling and hor d'oeuvres, with a cash bar available.
Thursday April 24th we will have two screening blocks, 3:30 to 5:30 pm and 6:00 to 8:00. Then at 8:30 Hollywood Nights beach side party at Hotel Blues ocean front pool deck and bar.
Friday April 25th screenings start at Noon until 2:00, then 2:30 to 4:30, 5:00 to 7:00 from 7 to 8 we will have a beer tasting by award winning New South Brewery and a BBQ dinner will be provided by Little Pigs BBQ both complimentary. Then a screening from 8:00 to 10:00 and a special screening block for Horror films. 10:30 to 12:30 "Truth or Dare was one film I had to close my eyes and ears in certain scenes, but I had to see how it ended, a harsh wild ride" One of the judges for MBIFF. "We have never had something so emotionally shocking, this one is bad! In a good way if you like horror films" stated Jerry Dalton, Founder and Director of the MBIFF. This block is age restricted due to violent graphic images and sound and adult content. If you are easily shocked we "do not" recommend attending this block.
Saturday the 28th, screenings will take place 12 to 2pm, 2:30 to 4:30, 5:00 to 7:00, From 7:00 pm to 8:00 we will have a wine tasting from Award Winning La Belle Amie Winery along with Sushi from Jimmyz Hibachi. As an added bonus The Denny Hess Trio will play during this time. Final screening block 8:00 to 9:30. Then the awards will be handed out and then we will have our MBIFF party at the renowned Sun City Cafe, with creations by Chef, Carey Boyles!

All access passes are available at this time for $50.00, which will allow access to all screenings and parties. Tickets will also be available at the box office the day of screenings.
