Get out of the house and walk the trail! Join a ranger for a fun, 1.25-mile hike along the nature trail loop. This easy hike will take you through several ecosystems and will discuss how the landscape and wildlife has changed over the 250 years this land has been known as Hampton Plantation. From rice trunks and naval stores to conservation and restoration- it’s a great opportunity to learn about the challenges faced in the past and also those we face today. Meet at the Ranger Station and don't forget to dress for the weather and bring water, good walking shoes, and bug repellent. Cost: Free.
