The Johnson Collection and the Spartanburg Philharmonic have collaborated on an exhibition celebrating the latter's 95 years in our community. Curated by Dr. Peter Kay, the artwork featured in the exhibition serves as a visual complement to the season premiere concert on Sept. 16.
On Sept. 21, the Johnson Collection will host a gallery talk featuring Dr. Kay. He will discuss the visual and musical groupings currently on display at TJC Gallery that are in "concert" with the Spartanburg Philharmonic's season premiere. The talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. during Spartanburg's monthly Artwalk, a free event open to all.
Live music is also scheduled for Oct. 19 in the TJC Gallery.
