Saloma Miller Furlong, formerly a member of the Amish community, will speak about her experiences growing up Amish and how she reached the decision to leave that life on March 29 at 2 pm at the York County Library in Rock Hill.
Author of “Why I Left the Amish,” and the newly released, “Bonnet Strings: An Amish Woman's Ties to Two Worlds,” Ms. Furlong has been featured on two episodes of the PBS documentary show “American Experience” about the Amish way of life. Copies of her books will be for sale and signing at the program.
