Peruse Hightower Hall, the circa 1853 Italian Villa style home, with its sweeping grounds.
Culture & Heritage Museums Historian, Zach Lemhouse will be speaking at the Hightower Hall event about the history of the Carolinas’ tea parties.
“The Boston Tea Party, and the many other lesser-known tea parties that occurred throughout the thirteen colonies," Lemhouse says, "demonstrated Patriot commitment to the ideal of 'no taxation without representation.' These brave men and women risked their lives and livelihoods to fight for this cornerstone of American democracy.”
