See Lancaster SC will reveal its annual collectible ornament at the Native American Studies Center Nov. 17 at 5:30 p.m. The collectible is the 16th in a series of ornaments that depict landmarks in Lancaster County. In addition to revealing the new design, ornaments from the series will be on display and for sale.
Historic buildings featured include Lancaster County Jail, Olde Lancaster Presbyterian Church, L & C Railway Depot, Kilburnie, Farmers Bank & Trust, Springs Block, Courthouse, Springs House, Post Office, Library, Springs Clock Tower, Bank of Lancaster, and Springs Cotton Mill. Other landmarks featured are Andrew Jackson Statue and Cultural Arts Center Window.
After this event, the collectibles are available for sale at local businesses including At Home by Casey, Annette’s Hallmark House, Lancaster Jewelers, Ray’s Flowers, SMH Sunshine Gift Shop, Purple Rooster, and the Springs House Gift Gallery. The design of the ornament is decided by a Design Committee, which meets monthly to review Façade Grant Applications, consider nominations for landmarks to the National Register of Historic Places and develop downtown beautification projects.
