In this time-lapse video, more than 500 volunteers gathered in Easley for a one-day effort called “Raise a Village” day for The Dream Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping those in need find a way out of poverty and homelessness. Funded by generous donations, construction of what The Dream Center calls Opportunity Village got a dramatic start on Oct. 29, 2016, when these helping hands built 13 tiny homes houses—framed and weatherproofed—in a 14‑hour day.
