Best broccoli salad
SERVES 4–6
1 head broccoli, cut into bite-sized pieces, tough stems removed
½ pound bacon, fried and crumbled
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 small red onion, chopped
½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon white vinegar
In a medium serving bowl, toss together broccoli, bacon, cheese and onion. In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sugar and white vinegar. Add to salad, making sure to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
