Join Dr. Steve Fields, Curator of Natural History at the Museum of York County, as history and treasure come together. Learn the story behind why our city is named Rock Hill and what types of rocks and minerals have been discovered here.
Afterwards, do some “rock-hounding” in the Naturalist Center.
Both programs – one from 10:15 to 11 a.m. and one from 11:15 a.m. to noon – are free with museum admission. Culture & Heritage Museum members get in early at 9 a.m. on Wonderful Wednesdays in June and July!
