Merlefest fan-favorite, The Waybacks, are bringing their unique blend of bluegrass to Spartanburg. The four-piece draws freely from the old school and the old world, but The Waybacks are no throwback. They are storytellers and instrumental improvisers with a powerful sound, even drawing the attention of legend Sam Bush who played mandolin on their 2008 hit Loaded.
