Upstate Field of Honor - Honoring Our Heroes

The Foothills Civitan Club proudly invites the entire community to come together for a powerful outdoor patriotic family event—an awe-inspiring panorama of United States flags displayed in solemn formation from Sept. 11 through Sept. 18 at the Pickens County Board of Disabilities and Special Needs.

This year’s event carries even deeper meaning as we gather during two historic milestones: America’s 250th Anniversary and the 25th Anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001. These anniversaries remind us not only of our nation’s founding ideals, but also of the resilience, unity, and courage that define the American spirit.

“Honoring Our Heroes” is a moving tribute that will feature hundreds of American flags standing proudly in formation—each one representing a life, a story, and a legacy. Together, they create a stirring visual tribute to our military, first responders, and personal heroes who have served, sacrificed, and strengthened our nation.
