The Battle for Columbia 1291 Valley Ridge Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29053
The 11th annual Battle for Columbia presents a re-enactment of the skirmish at Congaree Creek.
Participants: War Between the States reenactors from the South Carolina Palmetto Battalion, Georgia Volunteer Battalion, and various artillery units. Reenactors will portray both Union and Confederate soldiers.
Saturday & Sunday, May 7-8
Gates open Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m.
- A battle Saturday afternoon at approximately 4 p.m.
- A battle Sunday afternoon at approximately 2 p.m.
Hosted by the Lt. Gen. Wade Hampton Camp. No. 273 Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Single-day admission:
Adults, $8
Students 6-17, $5 at the gate
Children under 6, free.
Mothers admitted free on Sunday.
