A new Fort Mill favorite returns for a second year as part of the South Carolina Strawberry Festival's week of activities. The Strawberry Sprint and Stroll 5K and Fun Run will take place in the historic downtown corridor on Saturday, April 30.
With a new race route this year, the course begins and ends on Main Street and includes nearby residential streets. The race will begin at 8 a.m., with a 5k race followed by the 1-mile fun run. The race will conclude with a runner's village, including local merchants, food trucks, music and festive atmosphere. Berry B. Good, Fort Mill’s cheerful strawberry mascot, and the reigning Strawberry Queens will also be part of the festivities.
The runner's village will include vendors such as DJ Tim Brown, Humble Cup Coffee, Flipped Family Food Truck, Maui Acai, That Place You Like, Up Level Martial Arts, Made by Megan Jayne, FM Gear, Carolina Sweet Co., Greetings from Suburbia, K&M Sweet Treats, Orange Theory Fitness, State Farm, Celebree School, Fort Mill History Museum, Fort Mill Care Center, Second Harvest Food Bank and Leory Springs & Co.
