Join us on Saturdays in October to learn about spooky science topics! Explore the worlds of bats, mythical creatures, arachnids and poison plants with exciting activities and spine-chilling specimens. This week, we’ll focus on poison plants.
Don’t touch the hairy, scary vine! Many of us have experienced the itchy rash that accompanies the touching of poison ivy, but are there other plants to be wary of? We will highlight some of the most common plants that are really not good for man or beast. We’ll look at some examples in the Naturalist Center, then do a trail walk at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.
