Hear about the original owner of the home and signer of the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Heyward, Jr.’s, experience during the American Revolution. See Museum pieces in the house related to other South Carolina patriots, such as Christopher Gadsden and hear about the role of enslaved people and women during the war.
