S.C. Senior Sports Classic State Games

The 33rd annual South Carolina Senior Sports Classic (SCSSC) State Games will be May 16-19 at Francis Marion University in Florence, S.C.
The open National Senior Games Association-sanctioned event offers 27 major sports in nine age groups for men and women athletes 50 years old and older. The Games boast team and individual elite and recreational competition with gold, silver and bronze medalists. Socialization, education and sport are featured with a parade of athletes, health expo, educational seminars, socials and a dinner/dance.
Registration is now open. Entry forms are available at your local recreation departments or by going online at www.scseniorgames.com. April 15 is the deadline for registration, so sign up today.
The SCSSC is the sanctioned event for the National Senior Games Association which is a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee. As such, it is a biennial qualifier for the National Senior Games. South Carolina can boast national gold medalist swimmers, golfers, triathletes, archers, softballers, bowlers, tracksters, race walkers, basketballers, and racket sporters that have represented our state. It is a quality recreation experience for adults ages 50 years and older designed to promote health, wellness and fitness through sport. Sign up at this open event and you too may be able to represent the state of South Carolina at the National Senior Games in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The SCSSC encourages every South Carolinian to embrace the opportunity to create and maintain a physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy lifestyle.
