Only Owls--After Hours

The Museum of York County is extending its hours for a special event, “Only Owls--After Hours,” on Nov. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. The “Only Owls” exhibit explores the fascinating and mysterious world of owls as portrayed in artworks. The exhibit also includes mounted owls and interactive components from the museum’s natural history collection.
At “Only Owls--After Hours,” guests can explore the exhibit, meet the National Forest Service’s Woodsy Owl, marvel at the Carolina Raptor Center’s live owl presentations, and watch the Settlemyre Planetarium show “Perseus and Andromeda.” Carolina Raptor Center presentations will be at 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., and the Settlemyre Planetarium showings of “Perseus and Andromeda” will be at 5 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. All ages are welcome. Seating is limited.
Gardner’s BBQ food truck will be on site from 4 to 7 p.m. for families to enjoy at the museum’s lighted outdoor picnic area. A percentage of the food sales will benefit the museum.
