Historic Brattonsville will host the Living History Saturday on March 22, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Living History Saturdays “Ladies of Brattonsville” celebrates Women’s History Month.
Historic Brattonsville will show several activities focused on enslaved and free women’s lives in 18th and 19th-century Carolina Piedmont. These events will highlight the different aspects of women’s social life, responsibilities, and pastimes. There will also be stories of women who lived on the Brattonsville Plantation.
Events include herbal remedies by Martha Bratton, cooking (influenced by Rosa Williams), and a 2 p.m. tour of the Brattonsville site.
Free with general admission. ($8 for ages 18-59, $7 for ages 60+, $5 for ages 4-17, and free for ages 3 and younger.)
