Rivers Bridge is offering a tour followed by a Civil War program beginning at 1:30 pm on Saturday, March 4, 2017. The tour will begin at 1:30 p.m., and at 3 p.m., we will hear from our featured guest speaker, Karen Stokes, on the civilians in Gen. William Sherman’s path. She will describe how those left back home resisted and survived the Union invasion. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the Community Building following the tour. The admission is only $5 for adults, and children 16 and under are admitted free. Anyone wearing a Rivers Bridge T-shirt gets in free for both the tour and programs. These T-shirts are available for purchase in the office.
We will meet at the Community Building at Rivers Bridge State Historic Site at 1:30 p.m. and proceed to the battlefield from there.
