The 37th Hilton Head Island St. Patrick’s Day Parade will step off at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 13, on Pope Avenue near the new Lowcountry Celebration Park, 94 Pope Ave., and ending at Office Park Road.
Returning to the local family entertainment schedule for the first time since 2019, this parade is expected to draw participants and spectators of all ages from around the region.
Scheduled to march are eight pipe and drum bands, including NYPD, Atlanta Pipe Band, Bergen County, Boston Police, Charleston, Coastal Carolina Shields, U.S. Border Patrol and Myrtle Beach Regional. In addition, an Irish rock band, Fenian Sons, will be on hand, along with high school bands and performance troupes. Local businesses, schools and nonprofits will be represented with colorful floats and cars, along with local and state dignitaries, including Miss South Carolina.
The previous day, March 12, at 5 p.m., the Inaugural Irish Concert will be held at Celebration Park, featuring Fenian Sons, Boston Police Gaelic Column Pipe & Drum and NYPD Emerald Society Pipe & Drum.
All events are free and open to spectators. Participants in the parade must pay a registration fee.
