Sometimes the line between science and magic blurs. Investigate the mysterious natural world at Museum of York County’s Harry Potter Science Saturday on Feb. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The themed family event outlines a curriculum of science in the Museum’s School of Witchcraft & Wizardry. Dress up as your favorite Harry Potter character, peruse the museum’s galleries and cast spells for magical remedies and care of incredible creatures. The day is full of fun and fantastic activities.
Certificates of Wizardry will be officiated by Professor Bumblebee upon the achievement of knowledge ascertained through the school’s amusing exams. “Skies Over Hogwarts” is the featured planetarium show. The Museum Store will be stocked for all your wizarding needs. Hot dog plates and other concessions, including Butter Beer, available for both wizard and muggle consumption.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for children. Culture & Heritage Museum members and visitors under 3 are free. Online advanced registration is encouraged. Timed-entry ticketing.
