Ferns: SC Native Plant Certificate Elective

Spend the day delving into the rich world of ferns ranging from the small Mosquito Fern to the large Royal Fern. Discover which species to expect where: mountains, coastal plain, moist woodland, dryish hillsides?

Join naturalist Tim Lee to learn about the basic ecology, natural history and fern identification through classroom lecture and time exploring the state's diverse habitats as illustrated on the SCBG's Natural Heritage Trail.

This workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the SC Botanical Garden Conference Center, upper level.

The SC Native Plant Studies Certificate Program is offered by the SCBG in partnership with the South Carolina Native Plant Society. Discount available to SCNPS and SCBG members. 

Please note: All classes are open to the public. If you would like to pursue the South Carolina Native Plant Certificate Program, all core classes plus 4 electives are required for completion.
