Featured Quilter Maxi Lardiere at the Horry County Museum
to
Horry County Museum 805 Main Street , Conway, South Carolina 29526
The Horry County Museum will host a free trunk show by quilter Maxi Lardiere on March 23 at 1 p.m.
Maxi Lardiere was born in Austria and immigrated to the US in 1961. She always dreamed of going into art and fashion design but life, family and making a living got in the way. Retirement at age 63 gave her the freedom that she now treasures. She learned about quilting from her daughter and it immediately changed her life.
She has since created an immense body of work. Her quilts have sold all over the United States, as well as Canada, Austria, Germany and Italy. Many more were given as gifts and made for different charity organizations. Her work has been in Quilt and Art Shows in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and now in South Carolina where she currently resides. She proudly displays her many prize decorated quilts in her home.
The program will begin at 1 p.m. at the Horry County Museum, 805 Main Street in Conway. This event is free and open to the public.
