Digging Dinosaurs with the College of Charleston: An Expedition Into the Glenrock Badlands

The Horry County Museum presents a program by Dr. Scott Persons on paleontology work done by the College of Charleston in the Glenrock Badlands of Wyoming on Saturday, April 5, at 1 p.m.
Dr. Persons is an associate professor of paleobiology at the College of Charleston and is the curator of the Mace Brown Museum of Natural History. He holds a PhD in Evolution and Systematics from the University of Alberta and is the cowriter and presenter of the University of Alberta’s widely successful paleontology online courses.
Dr. Persons is also a children’s book author and a research curator at the Glenrock Paleon Museum, in Wyoming, where he digs for dinosaurs every summer. He has over 80 formal scientific journal publications and has taken part in fossil-hunting expeditions throughout the badlands of the American West, the Gobi Desert of Mongolia, the canyons of Tanzania’s Olduvai Gorge and the pampas of Argentina.
