Pickens County Museum of Art & History will host an opening reception for the new exhibit, "Remnants of Existence," on May 17 from 4 to 6 p.m.
"Remnants of Existence" features the work of Pickens County native Andrea Hardin Garland. The brings together a powerful collection of works that dwell in the space where memory lingers between reverence and grief, beauty and burden.
This exhibition explores the deeply rooted emotional terrain of the American South while recognizing all facets of our past, allowing us to honestly and respectfully preserve and honor our southern culture.
"Remnants of Existence" runs through July 12.
