An Afternoon with Nathalie Dupree
to
Museum of York County 4621 Mt. Gallant Road, Rock Hill, South Carolina 29732
In celebration of South Carolina food and lifestyle, the Museum of York County will host An Afternoon with Nathalie Dupree, on Sunday, Sept. 18. Dupree will demonstrate the art of biscuit making – specifically her own “Senator Hollings’ Flaky Appetizer Cream Cheese Biscuits,” an essential Southern hors d’oeuvre.
The event will include refreshments, appetizers and inspiration for Southern-style entertaining. Dupree will be available for book signing; several of her many cookbooks, including “Mastering the Art of Southern Cooking,” are available in the museum’s store. A dinner with Nathalie Dupree and four guests at Rock Hill’s new restaurant, the Pump House, is being offered on an online auction prior to the event.
A culinary-themed door decorating contest is also part of the Southern-style entertaining event. The contest is open to community clubs and offers a prize of $50.
Advance registrations only; the event is open to the public with limited seating.
For registration, auction information and to enter the decorating contest, please contact Doris VanBenschoten at (803) 981-9182. Non-member registration is $25; CHM member registration is $20.
