On Saturday, Feb. 21, local nonprofit AMOR Healing Kitchen will debut AMOR Fest at Freehouse Brewery—a community fundraiser celebrating AMOR’s 8th anniversary and supporting its work delivering nourishing meals to individuals facing serious health challenges across the Lowcountry.
The event will feature a Chili Cookoff featuring Charleston chefs, including Charlie Layton (Basic Kitchen), Lesley Carroll (Jack of Cups) and Tom McFall (Huriyali). There will be live bluegrass music, local art, family activities and craft beer from Charleston’s only organic brewery.
Proceeds support AMOR Healing Kitchen, which has delivered more than 100,000 plant-based meals to clients facing medical crises.
The event runs 4–8 p.m. with a VIP Hour from 4–5 p.m., and includes all food tastings, music and an open bar until 7 p.m.
