An Aiken favorite, Preston & Weston offer spirited renditions of R&B classics, shag, beach and pop music. Their mix also includes jazz standards, reggae, blues and even some country. Preston and Weston have lots of vocals, lots of laughs and lots of fun.
The highly anticipated Hopelands Concert Series returns this April, May and June. The first concert sets the tone for a fun season, featuring local artists Brooke Lundy and John Vaughn, with their “Hollywood Revue.” Lundy and Vaughn open the series in Hopelands Gardens on Monday, April 1 at 6:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating. Picnic dinners are welcomed, but alcohol is strictly prohibited. Admission is free. In the case of inclement weather, April concerts will take place at the Odell Weeks Center at 1700 Whiskey Rd. in Gym 2. A new and exciting change this season, concerts forced indoors during the months of May and June will take place at the Aiken Senior & Youth Center, located at 841 Edgefield Ave. NW.
Event parking is located across the street from Hopelands Gardens at the Green Boundary Club, 780 Whiskey Road. Handicap parking is available at Rye Patch on Berrie Road and Hopelands Gardens on Dupree Place.
