The Clemson Festival of Arts is a one-day active art experience for adults and children happening May 20, the third Saturday in May. Experience an art-filled day with hands-on art activities for adults and children, artists’ demonstrations, a community art project, and fine, handcrafted art for sale from exhibiting artists. This year’s festival features the largest community artwork piece ever, and you don’t want to miss the chance to help create this one-of-a-kind piece – you’ll be amazed and excited when you see it! The festival kicks off with a Character Parade for all ages at 9:30 a.m. Following the parade, shop along Artist Row, where many of the area’s best artists will present their work, including clay, painting, jewelry and so much more. Also enjoy food from local restaurants and explore your creative side at either the Art in Action tent, offering "make and take" projects for adults, or the 10-station Kids Art Park, which includes hat making; a cardboard box maze; and creating art with wood, hammers and nails, just to name a few of many unique activities your kids will love. Join the Arts Center of Clemson at Catherine Smith Plaza in downtown Clemson on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about the Clemson Festival of Arts, visit explorearts.org.
