The 14th Annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival (MBIFF), billed as “The East Coast’s answer to the Sundance Film Festival," will be held April 23–27.
We will be honoring Melissa Gilbert and Timothy Buseld with Lifetime Achievement Awards during this year's event. Both will also be in attendance to support their new film which was written by and stars Jeff Daniels, Melissa and Tim's partner in a new film company. We have many World and United States premieres taking place this year and many of the filmmakers will be in attendance. Filmmakers from Russia, China, Germany, France, Canada and of course many from The United States will host Q&As with the audience after their film's screening. Filmmakers, industry professionals and actors from featured films, short films and documentaries will participate in the popular "Film Talks" that will take place Thursday, April 25, from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m. inside the theater's auditorium. This will be an open forum allowing interaction with the audience. Filmmakers and actors will share their experiences and insider information on life behind and in front of the camera. At this time, the filmmaker panel includes Melissa Gilbert, Timothy Busfield, Andrew Simpson (Hollywood's Wolf Trainer for big budget lm), David Silverman, Mark Blanchard, Dimitri de Clercq, Brady Brandwood, Dr. Chris McDaniel, George Wingard, Grey Gowder, Hiroyuki Miyagawa, J.R. Poli, John Marcucci, Julia Fulmer.
