Suminagashi marbles paper by "floating ink" - a process that originated in 12th century Japan; Sumi-e uses bamboo-handled brushes with sumi (ink) to create deceptively simple paintings. Learn about Japanese papers and these Asian art forms through demonstration and plenty of individualized guidance. All materials included. No experience necessary. Workshop session will include a break for lunch.
