South Carolina Senior Sports Classic

The 33nd annual S.C. Senior Sports Classic will be held May 16-20, 2017, at Francis Marion University in Florence. The 80-event sporting competition is the sanctioned national qualifier for the National Senior Games Association, which is a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Masters athletes from all over the country will gather for four days of elite and recreational competition, socialization and fitness education. Teams and individuals sports can compete in the following sports: basketball, softball, volleyball, swimming, bowling, track and field, golf, tennis, horseshoes, shuffleboard, cycling, pickleball, triathlon, badminton, table tennis, archery. More are also slated to be held. Admission is free and open to the public.
Registration is open to men and women 50 years old and older with gold, silver and bronze medalist categories in every five-year age increment. Opening and closing ceremonies frame the sporting events, highlighted by a Friday afternoon health fair with screenings and evening dinner and dance. Deadline for registration is May 1.
