Pumpkin Patch
Disciples United Methodist Church 185 Riley Smith Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29615
The annual Pumpkin Patch at Disciples United Methodist Church in Greenville opens Oct. 1 and runs through Oct. 31. All sizes of pumpkins, gourds and cornstalks will be for sale.
Disciples United Methodist in Greenville annually raises funds for missions by selling pumpkins. The pumpkin patch partners with the Navajo Indian Nation in Farmington, New Mexico, growing 1,200 acres of pumpkins each year. Over 700 Native Americans are employed growing, managing, harvesting and shipping the pumpkins to over 1,000 pumpkin-patch sites located at churches of various denominations. Disciples United Methodist at 185 Riley Smith Road in Greenville is one of those churches. There are big pumpkins and tiny pumpkin and every size in between. There are orange, green, striped and even white pumpkins. There are cornstalk bundles and gourds of all shapes and sizes. Stop by Disciples UMC sometime in October–it’s worth the trip.
Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 7 p.m.
