Palmetto Goodwill Open

The third annual Palmetto Goodwill Open is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, at Oak Point Golf Course. This challenging course is located on scenic Kiawah Island and features beautiful marsh views and pristine greens.

Palmetto Goodwill has been supporting struggling and homeless veterans for decades by providing direct assistance with job training and employment services and indirectly with transitional housing assistance through referral sources.

Post 9/11, Goodwill began to see a large gap in support for veterans and their families struggling to transition from military to civilian life. Looking for a sustainable model that would help warriors and their families achieve successful employment, adequate housing, educational goals and access to benefits, we reached out to the America’s Warrior Project. Through this partnership, we built a foundation for what has become the Palmetto Warrior Connection (PWC). Since its inception, PWC has facilitated care for thousands of post-9/11 veterans and helped them achieve a better quality of life as they transitioned into civilian life.
