7th Annual Carolina Kick-Off for a Cure
The Zone at Williams-Brice Stadium 1125 George Rogers Blvd, Columbia, South Carolina
On Saturday, Nov. 12, when the South Carolina Gamecocks kick off down in Gainesville, Fla., for a matchup against the Gators, there will still be roaring support from Williams-Brice Stadium as fans watch via big screen TVs in The Zone at Williams-Brice for the 7th Annual Carolina Kick-Off for a Cure. And for the second consecutive year, Columbia’s award-winning home services company, Love Plumbing, Air & Electrical, is proud to be the exclusive presenting sponsor for the event.
Carolina Kick-Off For a Cure combines two of Gamecock Nation’s favorite pastimes: food and football – all for a good cause. Proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Since 2009, more than $290,000 has been raised through the event to help support life-saving research, quality care, and effective therapies for people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). This life-threatening, genetic disease primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. An estimated 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide) have CF.
Guests at this year’s Carolina Kick-Off For a Cure will enjoy an indoor tailgate feast of food from some of the area’s favorite restaurants, complimentary beer and wine, silent and live auctions, a fun-filled photo booth, cornhole and other tailgate games. Several members of Love’s team will attend the event, and the company will be recognized for its sponsorship during halftime. But as usual, the main focus will be the cause and those who can benefit from it.
