Kershaw County Music Association Benefit Concert

The Kershaw County Music Association (KCMA), an affiliate member of the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC), will hold a benefit concert on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated. Proceeds will benefit the KCMA Music Scholarship Fund. KCMA and Lyttleton Street Methodist Church are co-hosting the event. Entertainment for the afternoon will be baritone Reginald Smith, Jr., the 2015 Metropolitan Opera National Council Finale winner. He is an alumnus of Seagle Music Colony, the Janiec Opera Company at the Brevard Music Center, the Lyric Opera Studio of Weimar, the Gerdine Young Artist Program at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and the Filene Young Artist Program at Wolf Trap Opera in Virginia. Accompanying Mr. Smith will be pianist Erin Palmer. Palmer recently joined the music department of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has participated in numerous festivals and collaborated with such organizations as the Metropolitan Opera National Council, among others.
