12th Annual Starburst Storytellers Festival: Celebration of Edgar Allan Poe

The 12th annual Starburst Storytellers Festival will be a celebration of Edgar Allan Poe, featuring performances by storyteller Tim Lowry, poet Allan Wolf and members of the Clemson Area Storytellers' Guild. The festival opens with a performance by poet Allan Wolf, cofounder of the National Poetry Slam, talking about the Poe and performing some of his poems. The next night will feature Adam Booth, storyteller and four-time winner of the West Virginia Liars' Contest. Members of the Clemson Area Storytellers' Guild – including Charlee Duvall, Lisa Eister, Lynn Garner and Donna Tillman – will perform on the third day of the festival. Wednesday night, Bobbie Pell, known as "The Moonstone Minstrel," will perform using Celtic folklore and traditions. Tim Lowry, who is returning from performing at the National Storytellers' Festival, will close the event on Oct. 20. Admission to all performances is free, and showtimes are listed below.
