Part of the SC Humanities Festival, History at the McCelvey is a free event with special exhibits, a meet-and-greet with painters of visual history Kelley Pauley and Dan Nance, a 10 a.m. lecture on the American Revolution in the Carolina backcountry by CHM historian and author Michael Scoggins, a 2 p.m. lecture by CHM archivist Nancy Sambets reflecting on the Barnett Bros. Circus quarters in York, book signings and walking tours of York Historic District. Pre-registration is appreciated.
