Learn interesting insights into the lifeways and strategic roles Native Americans played in the economy and welfare of the Carolina colony and later periods while talking a walk on the beautiful trails of this historical park. You'll also learn how historic resources of the park are relevant to the lives and culture of Native peoples today, including the Cherokees, Catawbas and other living groups. Guided walking tours are about 2 miles (60 to 90 minutes). All tours are led by professional guides trained by the National Park Service and sponsored by the 12,000 Year History Park Working Group, City of Cayce and the River Alliance.
