Fall Bazaar
to
Disciples United Methodist Church 185 Riley Smith Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29615
A book signing by two local authors, Pastor Deb Richardson-Moore and Donna Rhodes, will be featured at the bazaar. In addition to their books, Usborne Children’s Books and Disciples’ new cookbook will be for sale.
Pastor Deb Richardson-Moore has written two books inspired by her experiences working with the homeless. Many have read and loved her first book, The Weight of Mercy, a memoir of her first three years as pastor at Triune Mercy Center in Greenville. Her newest book is The Cantaloupe Thief, a mystery with homelessness as a backdrop. This book appears to be the first of a series of books with many of the same characters. Pastor Deb is a very talented writer and was a writer for the Greenville News prior to answering the call to ministry.
Donna Rhodes’ story was featured in the August Advocate. Donna is an author, Christian speaker and Bible study teacher. A couple of years ago, she spoke at Disciples United Methodist Women’s group. We sat, mesmerized by her extraordinary life story. At that time, she told us she was working on a book, and in June 2016, it was published. How the Woman at the Well Became the Well Woman tells her story.
