The Gilbert Theater's first show of the 2017-2018 season is "Evil Dead: The Musical," with book and lyrics by George Reinblatt. Five college students spend the weekend in an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to our hero, Ash, and his trusty chainsaw to save the day. "Evil Dead: The Musical" has it all – some dismembered limbs, demons telling bad jokes and catchy tunes. Audiences will love this record-breaking musical comedy sensation that takes all the elements of Sam Raimi’s cult classic films ("The Evil Dead," "Evil Dead II," "Army of Darkness") to make one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time!
